I did not connect with this story at all. Three older divorced women dare each other to call old boyfriends and reconnect. One went on two dates with a guy and treated him badly. Another is persuaded to help her old boyfriend hook up with a new date. The third fakes her way into her ex-husband’s house and chats with his new fiance.
Why didn’t I connect? If you have regrets about the past, own up to them. Don’t call up under the pretense of wouldn’t it be great to catch up on old times?
Because they don’t do this the right way, they come off very badly and I have no sympathy for them. Sure, it’s probably realistic. Lots of people reconnect this way. I’ve sometimes avoided fessing up. But that’s not honorable, and listening to whiny dishonorable people isn’t on the top of my list.
