Want a good supply of S.F. and fantasy books and are willing to enslave yourself for them? Apex Online is looking for an unpaid slush reader. In return for reading up to 20 stories a week, you’ll be kept in review copies.
Stores and Events
As part of the hoopla surrounding Stephanie Meyer’s Breaking Dawn, Mountain Star Blood Services will have blood mobiles at three stores in Orem Utah for the launch at midnight August 2. Donate blood at the release for a chance to win a copy.
By the way, I’m not going to list all the store events for Breaking Dawn. There’s just too many. I’m throwing up interesting ones that I notice though if you can get books free, like this blood donation one.

- The University of Washington Booksore blog Shelf Life says they have a giveaway for Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows’ The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society. To win, you have to find a hidden link in the banner. I must be more sleep deprived than I thought cause I can’t find the link. But you might.

- Win the Lonely Planet travel guide book of your choice at the Indie Travel Podcast. I didn’t watch the video, so I can’t tell you when the deadline is.

- Suzie Eller’s The Woman I Am Becoming at Mommy of Three, deadline 2 August. Ten complete sets of Eller’s books will be given away to people putting her in contact with their church.
