One year anniversary!

This site has been in existence for one year now! As a self-indulgence, it’s worked out pretty well. I’ve made about $1 on the Amazon links. My known readership has gone from 1 (me) to at least 7 (2 on Bloglines and 4 on Livejournal and me). I believe I’ve posted 86 books (I haven’t counted though) most of which were new reading, though a few are reposts of older entries on the personal blog and others books I’ve previously read. As a learning experience, it’s been good as well. I’ve become decently aware of programming in PHP (the underlying language behind Wordpress) and have even written a nice little plug-in that presents the Amazon advertisements for each book. All in all, worth the time to set this up rather than continue to intersperse book posts in the personal journal.

So what next? Publicity! Time to start posting links to the blog and going from something that people occasionally stumble across to something that a few people might enjoy regularly. Anything else folks want to suggest? New site features? New content? Speak up, keeping in mind that the site is out of the way run by a nobody so I am limited in what I can reasonably do.
